Finding Primary Documents

Primary documents are the cornerstone of historical research. Before the advent of the Internet, primary documents were primary available only to research via library special collections. Now, more and more primary documents are being digitized and are avaible to the general public. While only a fraction of primary documents have been digitized, this guide provides sites where you can get started in your search for primary documents.
